Before Surgery:
- You have been scheduled for surgery by your physician, and have been given a packet of paperwork by his office staff. Please read through all paperwork before your arrival to make sure you understand all instructions.
- Eye drops are needed before and after surgery. Please make sure you pick those up from your pharmacy.
- One of our staff members will call you to confirm your appointment, review health history, give you time of arrival, and answer any questions you have.
Day of Surgery:
- Please do not eat or drink anything 1 hour prior to your arrival. You must have someone you know at least 18 years or older drive you to and from our facility. We do not allow any patient to arrive by public transportation unless the patient is from a nursing home and is accompanied by a caregiver.
- No makeup or lotion to the face.
- You do not need to get undressed for surgery so please wear something loose and comfortable.
- Do not bring any valuables
- Bring sunglasses, drivers license and insurance cards
- If you wear hearing aids, please bring a case with you.
After Surgery:
- Once out of surgery, you will be given something to drink and a nurse will go over your post op instructions. The nurse will monitor your vitals and once stable, you will be able to go home. Written instructions will be given to you to take home.
- You may be drowsy and experience some dizziness due to anesthesia. We advise you do not bend over, drive, do any strenuous activity, or make any important decisions for at least 24 hours.
- Make sure to keep your follow up appointment with your physician.
Preparing for Laser Procedure- What You Need To Know:

- One of our staff members will call you to confirm your appointment, review health history, give you time of arrival, and answer any questions you have.
Day Of Procedure:
- Please bring sunglasses, drivers license and insurance cards.
- Only one eye will be dilated, so you may drive yourself to the facility.
- Your visit with us will be approximately 30-45 minutes.
After Surgery:
- Your vision will be blurry for the rest of the day due to dilation.
- Please use your drops as prescribed and make sure to keep your follow up appointment with your physician.
